Witnesses Towards Tolerance, "The International Organization to Confront Extremism" is calling all its members and all of conscience, peace activists and human rights defenders in the world to join the peaceful protest demonstrations against the ongoing campaign of murder on the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip in Palestine by the Israeli military machine, backed politically and effectively by the US administration. We are writing with an urgent action alert regarding the accelerating genocide in Gaza. Please join the peaceful demonstrations that are taking place worldwide. If there is anything or anyone remotely Israeli or pro-Zionist in your community, please let them know how you feel in the strongest possible peaceful terms. The date is Saturday in the following cities 3-1-2009 at 9am local time: London, Paris, New York, Washington, Berlin, Stockholm, Moscow, Dublin, Madrid, New Mexico, Edinburgh, Ankara, Istanbul, Cairo, Alexandria, Rabat, Casablanca, Marrakech, Algeria, Tunisia, Mauritania, Tripoli, Benghazi, Khartoum, Addis Ababa, Mogadishu, Asmara, Damascus, Aleppo, Amman, Hebron (Ram Allah), Jerusalem, Beirut, Riyadh, Madinah, Sanaa, Aden, Muscat, Dubai, Manama, Doha, Kuwait, Baghdad, Mosul, Basra, Najaf, Karbala, Nasiriyah , Tehran, Islamabad, Kabul, Bombay, New Delhi, Beijing, Sydney and other cities. The demonstrations will be peaceful and to demand the immediate cessation of acts of murder and condemn the brutal Israeli and its American supporting policy and condemnation of all Governments and organizations supporting them. The demonstrators, carrying placards in their hands, whether as individuals or Oictbunha cooperating among themselves to make significant signs that the slogans calling for peace and away from the calls for violence.

It's incredible to think that online calls to protest like this one were responsible for the recent events in Egypt. As much as many can say against the problems of technology, no one can argue the power it can bring to unite.
